The Trout Fishing

Watermark Game Fisheries is situated beside the delightful River Churn. The main trout fishery comprises of a 5.5-acre spring fed pool adjacent to a delightful stretch of the River Churn where trout can be caught in the Spring.

Watermark Game Fisheries are well-established waters, abounding with aquatic fly life including Mayfly, Damselfly and abundant shrimp. These crystal clear waters enable discerning anglers to stalk exceptionally hard fighting specimen Rainbow trout and Brown trout that cruise in these beautiful lakes.

Trout Lake
This mature 5.5 acre pool will comfortably accommodate 12 anglers and fishes well throughout the year benefiting from natural springs and cool deepwater areas. The lake is home to many resident brown trout of a high average size (mostly 9lb's+) and combined with its natural beauty and prolific fly life makes for an ideal location to enjoy a days fly-fishing. The fishery is regularly stocked with Browns and Rainbows with fish ranging from approximately 2lb's - 20lb's +. A high proportion of 4 - 8lb fish are stocked for their fighting ability as well as good numbers of double figure fish.
