Do you allow night fishing?

Yes, we allow 24 hour fishing on all our lakes.

Do you allow parties greater than 4 to stay in the lodge?

No, we don't allow parties greater than 4 to use the lodge and private pool, the reason being that we have found that if we allow large parties in the lodge, it can have a disruptive effect on the fishery, with noise etc. Also, the lodge only has 2 double beds.

How many rods can I use?

Lodge guests may use a maximum of 3 rods per angler on the coarse lakes and 1 fly rod per angler on the trout lake.

Do you accept ANY pets?

Sorry No, we do NOT accept any pets, not even very small dogs!!

I have made a booking and paid a deposit, but I now need to cancel the booking, can I have my deposit back?

Sorry NO. ALL deposits paid are NON refundable. Please be aware of this when you make your booking.

Are there any bait bans on the coarse lakes?

There are no bait bans, all the coarse fishing rules can be found here - http://www.watermarkfisheries.com/coarsefisheries.htm

Can we use keepnets?

No, we do not allow keepnets on any of our lakes

Can I use a bait boat?

Yes, bait boats are allowed.

Do I have to book to fish on any of the lakes during my stay?

No, as lodge guests we automatically reserve places for you on all our lakes.

Do you have any equipment for hire?

No, We do not have any equipment available for hire.

Are bedding and towels provided?

Yes, Towels are provided and all beds will be made up ready for your arrival.

Can you send me a brochure?

No we don't have a brochure, the rental of the fishing lodge is entirely internet based. All the latest info and prices can be found on this website

Are there any facilites on site for food etc, is there a local pub?

There are no food facilities on site, but we are on the outskirts of the village of South Cerney and a few minutes drive away there is the Watermark's lakeside brasserie, together with a couple of local pubs, Indian Takeaway , Chip shop, Grocery stores etc

If we arrive early on our arrival date can we start fishing the private pool before 3pm?

No, The private pool will not be made availaible to you before 3pm on your day of arrival. The fishing lodge is fully booked throughout the season and we DO need the few hours between guests to do any grass cutting, gardening and maintenance work around the lodge and private pool area.
